A Safe Place for Youth to Grow
Open Door Home is a home for youth who need a safe place to live. Providing care for nearly a century, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the young people we serve. We provide emergency and extended care for youth from circumstances that may include, but are not limited to: neglect, abandonment, sexual abuse, physical abuse, lack of supervision, truancy, lack of appropriate living arrangements or the absence of parents through illness, death, or incarceration.
Open Door Home provides youth with the resources needed for success, both while in the care of the home and while transitioning to independent living.
Mission and History
For nearly a century, we’ve been serving Floyd and the surrounding counties. Though our programs have evolved over the years, our core mission has stayed the same.
The Open Door Home Board of Directors is a decision-making and fundraising body responsible for helping us best accomplish our mission of supporting the neglected and abused youth of Northwest Georgia.
