Housewarming Event Spring 2023

Registry for the Independent Living Program
at Open Door Home

  • What's happening with the Independent Living Program in Spring 2023?

Open Door Home’s Independent Living Program (ILP) has recently expanded our footprint and service capacity with the purchase of an additional home for our youth entering adulthood. Residents in ILP receive support and skills to prepare for life as independent adults; services are offered in tiers so each year the participant gains more responsibility.

  • I want to participate, what options are available?

Open Door Home is blessed with tremendous community support. People often ask us how they can help.

The registry is a simple and direct way to help as we make the new houses feel like home for our residents. Read on to find out more about how easy it is to give through the registries.

If you’re looking to learn more about the Independent Living Program and enjoy a night out, join us for a Housewarming Party on April 27. Event tickets are $75 and gift basket raffle tickets are $25. You can learn more and register here.

  • What items does the Independent Living Program need?

Items on registries. This is the fastest and easiest way to find needed items. Click on a retailer link below and find item(s) to purchase for our youth.

Larger items. Most items for outfitting the house are listed on the registries, however for larger furniture items, we are seeking new or gently used donations. Click on the “Furniture” link below to connect with Open Door Home directly about donating.

Always helpful: Monetary donations. Click on the “Send Money” link below to donate money that will be used to purchase necessary items for the homes.
